Back in the ’90s, Gillian Anderson was the hottest thing on TV. What you had in her was a combination of sex appeal and intelligence. Now I don’t know if Gillian Anderson the person really had both of those things (I know she had the first one), but the character she played, Dana Scully, certainly did. Gillian Anderson will be heading back to the States to star in the X-FILES movie sequel very soon, but we want to remember her from her X-FILES the TV series days. And oh, what days they were. Being a military brat, it probably wasn’t quite as strange for Gillian Anderson that she crossed over the Pond to find a second movie/TV career in the UK as if it would have been for us. But now with the possibility of an “X-Files: The Movie” sequel getting made, it might be possible to see Gillian Anderson back on U.S. soil and working again, and frankly, it’s about damn time. There was a time when Gillian Anderson was the hottest woman on TV, and not because she really was the hottest woman on the TV. She just happened to be on the hottest show on TV, and geeks everywhere were convinced Gillian Anderson as the uber babe. And maybe she was, in their clouded mind. We don’t think she’s the hottest thing to ever grace idiot tubes everywhere, but we can appreciate that Gillian is not a bad looking hot mama. Gillian Anderson has a pretty interesting TV career. She went from obscurity to international fame when “The X-Files” burst onto the scene in the early ’90s. But since the show ended, Gillian’s career has petered out, and now she does most of her acting work in the UK, where she has been in “Bleak House” and even made the jump to the big screen with “The Last King of Scotland”. Gillian still looks babelicious and has a thriving career again after all these years, which is more than you can say for her “X-Files” co-star David Duchovny. What’s that guy doing now?
